31st August, 2010 – End-of-Season-Party at the season finale

The ATS Formula 3 Cup is going to hold its end-of-season-party on Sunday, 03rd October 2010, at Oschersleben. Then, the ‘Jockel Klein Halle’ of the ‘Hotel Motorsport Arena’ will become the meeting place of sponsors, partners, officials, drivers and teams.

30th August, 2010 – Brutschin the champion

Riccardo Brutschin has secured the 2010 ATS Formula 3 Trophy title early. The 18-year old extended his lead by winning the 15th and 16th rounds, too. With 142 points on his tally, the German’s gap on second-placed Russian Alexey Karachev (106 points) is too big to be closed in the season finale as there are just 20 more points to be scored, on 02nd and 03rd October at Oschersleben.

17th August, 2010 – The action will begin on Thursday

The ATS Formula 3 Cup is going to start into its penultimate race weekend of its 2010 season as early as on the Thursday of next week. The 15th and 16th rounds of the season will be held at the Nürburgring in the support programme of the FIA GT Championship. According to the time schedule, the first tests and practice sessions will be held on Thursday, 26th August. On this day, the fastest German single-seater series will go out on the Grand Prix Circuit from 11:05 to 11:55hrs and from 15:15 to 15:45hrs.

16th August, 2010 – Aki Sandberg inherits third place

At the end of the day, one Finn had to pass over his trophy to another: Aki Sandberg inherited third place in the 14th ATS Formula 3 Cup round from his compatriot Daniel Aho as the fuel tank of the latter’s Arttech OPC-Challenge didn’t contain the compulsory 1.5 litres of fuel, after the race.

12th August, 2010 – Abt again on top in the Post Speed Academy

Daniel Abt hat has also prevailed in the second of the four Deutsche Post Speed Academy scoring periods. At the end of the day, the 17-year old ATS Formula 3 Cup driver pipped GT driver Christopher Mies. Thanks to this success, Abt secured the €25.000 promotion cheque for the second time, this year. And in the ‘SONAX Rookie-Pokal’, a special ranking within the framework of the ATS Formula 3 Cup, Abt also holds the lead.
